As a club, we hosted JuVoTo event in WSM Hutton Moor Sports Complex. These events are aimed at u12,u13,u14&u15 girls and boys teams. 33 teams entered from 10 SW based clubs. Bristol VC had 8 teams in and over 100 young people from these 10 clubs attended the event in total.
Our Boys - 3 teams entered - won the u14 Div and came runners up in u15 Div (drew on points but lost by 2 point difference for and against).
Our Girls (5 teams entered) won and came runners up in u13s and won in the u15 category.
A fantastic result!
We'd like to thank Abs, Li, Matt, Abel and Tesni for spending all day helping out with running the event as well as looking after our teams while I swanned around looking important and taking a few pictures. We also had support from Neil and Sarah (Calne VC and SWVA committee member), without their additional support we’d have struggled to have it run so smoothly.
This was the largest JuVoTo the SWVA has had so far and may be the biggest of this season, it gave a huge boost to our young people, many of them experiencing their first ever JuVoTo and competition as well as the others that attended, and these events are of huge importance to introducing young players to competition and the wider Volleyball Community.
