ADULTS

LADIES 1 A STRONG FINISH IN DIVISION 1

Ladies 1 battled through a challenging season to finish 4th and secure their Division 1 place for next season. Two crucial wins at the end of the campaign showed the team’s resilience, with a memorable 3-2 victory against Richmond among the highlights.

There were standout individual performances too. Isabella showed huge improvement throughout the year and delivered strong performances in the final matches, while Millie stepped up both as a player and captain during some of the season’s most important moments.

A tough but rewarding season and a strong finish from the whole squad.

LADIES 2 UNBEATEN AND LEAGUE CHAMPIONS

What a season for Ladies 2. Competing in National Volleyball League Division 3 South West, the team finished the season unbeaten and topped a competitive nine-team division.

Across 16 matches, Ladies 2 were consistently dominant, dropping only seven sets. Strong serving and disciplined defence regularly put opponents under pressure, while several closely contested matches showed the squad’s ability to perform when it mattered.

The season also saw several junior players join the team, bringing fresh energy and enthusiasm to the squad.

An outstanding season, an unbeaten record and a league title to celebrate.

LADIES 3 RUNNERS-UP AFTER AN OUTSTANDING SEASON

Ladies 3 enjoyed an outstanding campaign in South West League Division 1, finishing 2nd with only two losses all season.

Despite periods affected by player injuries, the squad remained resilient and maintained a positive attitude and high energy right through to the end.

One of the standout moments was a decisive 3-0 victory against the top team in the league. There was plenty to celebrate individually too, with Ines Gomes receiving an impressive six MVP nominations across the season.

A season to be proud of both on and off the court.

LADIES 4 A SEASON OF PROGRESS

Ladies 4 went from strength to strength throughout the season, finishing 4th in the league and just two points behind 2nd and 3rd place.

A victory over Swansea was a particular highlight after they had seemed almost unbeatable the previous season, while a win against Bath University provided another memorable moment.

The squad continued to develop their skills throughout the year, supported by excellent coaching from Kata and Ariyo.

Overall, it was a successful season filled with progress, team spirit and plenty of memorable moments.

MEN'S 1

PLENTY OF FIVE-SET DRAMA

It was a season of close contests, with six matches going the full five sets and Bristol snatching victory at the very last moment on several occasions.

There were standout performances across the squad and plenty of memorable moments throughout the campaign.

Another particularly positive development was the record attendance from juniors at Monday night training sessions, showing the growing connection between different levels of the club.

MEN'S 2 FIRMLY AMONG THE DIVISION'S STRONGEST

Men's 2 firmly established themselves as one of the strongest sides in Men's Division 3 South West during the 2025/26 season.

The team finished 4th with an impressive record of 11 wins and 5 losses.

Bristol were consistently strong throughout the campaign and their 11-5 record reflected the squad's sustained quality and consistency.

A mature and reliable campaign that provides a strong platform to build on, with future promotion ambitions well within reach.

MEN'S 3 BUILDING A STRONG FOUNDATION

Men's 3 competed in the South West League Men's Premier Division and finished 7th after a season of significant change.

With a largely new squad and changes to both coaches and players, the team had a challenging start. As the season progressed, the squad gelled brilliantly, developing strong team spirit and making improvements across teamwork, passing and attacking.

Two big victories over Cardiff ensured the team avoided relegation, while several close five-set battles showed just how competitive the squad could be.

Brian collected the most MVP awards with three, while Rafa was named Most Improved Player.

MEN'S 4 A SEASON TO BE PROUD OF

Men's 4 enjoyed a fantastic campaign in BDVA Division 1, finishing with an impressive record of 13 wins and just two losses.

The team finished 2nd, narrowly missing out on the top spot to University of Bath M3 on set difference.

One particularly memorable encounter saw Men's 4 recover from a set down and then from 8-2 behind in the deciding set to seal a huge comeback victory against Bath.

A fantastic season of consistent performances and a 2nd-place finish to be proud of.

MIXED TEAM

A SEASON OF DEVELOPMENT

The Mixed team competed in BDVA Mixed Division 2 and finished a strong 4th place.

Individual development was one of the biggest success stories of the year, with several players progressing into higher club teams, including Men's 4, Ladies 4 and Men's 3.

The team also built fantastic chemistry away from the court, with socials, dancing and karaoke helping friendships grow throughout the season.

Those connections translated into better teamwork during matches and created a supportive environment where players could develop their skills and confidence.

DEVELOPMENT SQAUD

A BRILLIANT YEAR OF PROGRESS

It was a brilliant year for the Development squad, with players making huge improvements in their skills, communication and confidence.

The group developed strong friendships throughout the season and created a fantastic atmosphere both at training and away from the court.

Communication improved considerably, helped along by plenty of "mine" laps courtesy of coaches Alex and Gus.

One of the most memorable moments was the Development squad's victory over the Mixed team, giving the group a chance to show just how much progress they had made.

JUNIORS

U16 GIRLS - TIER 2

COMPETING AT GRAND PRIX TIER 2 LEVEL

Our U16 Girls squad enjoyed a fantastic first season competing at Grand Prix level, an impressive achievement for a team with many players relatively new to the sport.

The girls won 7 of their 10 matches and finished top of their pool on two occasions, competing against clubs with long-established junior programmes and considerably more experience at this level.

Throughout the season, the squad made huge progress in their skills, confidence and understanding of the game. Their strong fundamentals, increasingly structured play and ability to problem-solve independently during matches were matched by a brilliant team spirit both on and off the court.

Every player contributed to the team’s success, creating a fantastic foundation to build on as they continue their development next season.

U16 TIER 1 & U18 GIRLS COMPETING AT THE HIGHEST LEVELS NATIONALLY

It was a fantastic second season for our performance girls teams. After a challenging first season full of learning and development, both squads made significant progress and achieved excellent results.

The U16 girls competed in the Gold Division and finished 10th overall in the UK for their age group, narrowly missing out on the Super Series. The U18 girls secured a place in the Silver Division, finishing 19th overall in the UK. This represented a significant improvement on their Bronze Division finish the previous season.

Both teams demonstrated incredible growth throughout the year, continually improving in what is an exceptionally competitive junior competition.

As we look ahead to the new season, our ambitions remain high. We are aiming for another strong campaign and are excited to welcome new players who can add further strength and depth to our already talented squads.

U16 BOYS SILVER ON THE NATIONAL STAGE

The U16 Boys delivered an outstanding campaign, finishing with Silver in the Gold Pool of the National Grand Prix and ending the season ranked 8th nationally. This was a major achievement for a lean squad of just eight players, showing real resilience, consistency and quality throughout the competition.

U18 BOYS CLIMBING THE NATIONAL RANKINGS

The U18 Boys also made a significant step forward, finishing in the national Top 19 after climbing 17 places from 36th last season. The squad reached the Gold Pool midway through the season, marking a clear breakthrough. Early setbacks in the opening rounds prevented them from reaching the Super Series this year, but the progress made gives the team a strong platform and a clear target for next season.
